KunTakt debuterer med et varieret album alene bestående af kompositioner af trioen selv. Gennemgående træk er stærke sangbare melodier, rytmisk
kreativitet og improvisatorisk idérigdom.
KunTakt er: Anders Bast – tenorsax, baritonsax og klarinetter, Jens Kristian Andersen – kontrabas og Thomas præstegaard – trommer.
Trioen blev dannet i efteråret 2005 for at udforske jazzens klassiske kammerbesætning, saxofontrioen. Formatet giver musikerne stor frihed og samtidig rig mulighed for interaktion hinanden i mellem. KunTakt har fra sin start udforsket konstellationens mange muligheder og arbejdet målrettet på at skabe et unikt og persoligt udtryk. Musikken er løbende komponeret og arrangeret specielt til denne besætning, og trioen når ud i musikkens mange afkroge. Udtrykket spænder vidt, lige fra sarte lyriske ballader til rå-swingende energi, skæve taktarter og stemningsmættede ekspressive improvisationer.
Udgivelsen er sit publikum bevidst. Det er et mål, at musikken skal favne bredt og have en universel appel, som inviterer den musikinteresserede offentlighed indenfor, fremfor kun at være en niche-kunstart for de få. Saxofonist har bl.a. spillet med Django Bates, Lars Jansson, George Russell, Thomas Buttenschøn, Per Vers, Tivolis Bigband, Hugo Rasmussen, Linley Marthé og Butch Lacy er CD’aktuel med sit eget projekt ”Late Urgency”.
Jens Kristian Andersen: ”..et lysende skud på den rige danske bas-tradition...desuden er han en original komponist, der forstår at skabe ny musik på baggrund af sine inspirationskilder.” (Vejle Amts Folkeblad). Har bl.a. spillet med Per ”Texas” Johansson, Jakob Dinesen, Kresten Osgood og har sit eget projekt J.K.A. and the Band.

A Jazz trio with musical depth and a strong melodic concept
KunTakt has just released their debut album with original compositions. The songs have strong melodies, are rhythmically creative and are played with a wide span of improvisational ideas
KunTakt is: Anders Bast – tenorsax, baritonesax and clarinet, Jens Kristian Andersen – Doublebass og Thomas Præstegaard – Drums.
The Trio was formed in the fall of 2005 with the goal to explore the classic jazz setting of the saxophonetrio. The format gives the musicians great freedom but offers at the same time possibilities for interaction between the 3 instruments. KunTakt has from the start been working hard and devoted to create a unic and personal expression, being aware not to overlook any means of expression. The music is composed and arranged specially for the trio trying to reach out for new sounds in the musial universe. The material spands from lyrical ballads to hard swinging raw powered modal tunes, occasionally in odd meters but allways with expressive improvisations.Danish Jazz and Argentine wines--Argentinsk vin- at top class in a Argentinean winebar centrally located , just meters from Kongens Nytorv metro station is presenting a highly developed Jazzy agenda for all tastes. Thomas Præstegaard: “On the album we are trying to express different emotions and feelings. I hope that the listeners will be drawn to the music, and that they will get a good and touching experience.”
Anders Bast: “I have 3 goals with a concert. At first I must find my own flow, then I must connect with my fellow musicians. Then the band should lift up the audience and give them an experience of happiness and positve energy. That is the goal of music, I’m suceeding as a musician when the eyes of the people that I talk to after a concert are shining.”
Jens Kristian Andersen: “The music should express beauty in our stressfull and buzy everyday life. It should not only entertain, but also question the standing values of our society. It should inspire people to be more social and humane and to spiritual growth. The KunTakt musketeers are ready!”
